A Politician’s Plagiarism

Come on now, seriously? I’ve heard of teenyboppers ripping off original stories from accomplished writers and claim them as their own for their original fiction/fanfiction and I’ve heard of teenage students and college students paying other students to let them copy their homework for submission and good grades, but a politician stealing off original content from a foreign citizen blogger? Seriously?

The Philippines is bad enough to be known for its everyday corruption, crab mentality, and world-known hackers, but something as simple (yet very serious) crime like plagiarism? Senator Tito Sotto, how well did you do back in school? Did you do well writing research papers and essays? Did your staff do well writing research papers and essays themselves? Staff or not, the fact that these people who ripped off cited work and crediting yourself for that work is employed under you, which in turn, you are responsible for this serious case.

Mrs. Sarah Hope deserves more than just a reply. The U.S. is very serious when it comes to plagiarism and copyrights and a simple verbal or written reply isn’t enough. The punishment is a lot more severe than you think.

I wrote everything I wanted to write at KabayanTech. Please do read it.

A childhood role model turned fraud. Good Lord. Thanks to your stupidity and to your self-conceit, the Philippines has earned another reputation for being copycats and failing to credit the proper source. Serious epic fail.
